NASA’s Earth Information Center (EIC) at The Gantry at LC-39 provides a comprehensive and awe-inspiring view of our planet as seen from space using data sourced from NASA science centers and interagency partners.

The EIC features visualizations, interactive media, and narrations illustrates how Earth’s data benefits society and helps us make informed decisions. Whether you’re a science enthusiast or simply curious about our planet, the EIC. offers an engaging and educational experience that brings the wonders of Earth to life.

Immerse Yourself in the “Human Mirror”

Step inside the immersive theater for a 3-minute show inspired by the first color photo taken of Earth from space.

Upon entering the EIC, you’re surrounded by the sounds of local wildlife and the rhythmic pulse of our planet transitioning from day to night. This Earth symphony, featuring recordings of thunderstorms and lightning, is carefully tuned to match the natural electromagnetic waves around our planet, known as Schumann’s Resonance. (Watch animations of Schumann’s Resonance here)

Following is a 3-minute immersive show, “Human Mirror,” inspired by Astronaut Bruce McCandless II’s first untethered spacewalk in 1984. It will leave you feeling a deeper connection with our unique and beautiful planet.

Discover Something Real | Exhibition Hall

The Exhibition Hall offers a dynamic way to explore data collected by NASA and its partners through space missions. It is a vibrant space filled with light, exploration, and live information. Exhibits include:

  • Science on a Sphere: Interact with a 6-foot globe suspended from the ceiling, showcasing dynamic visualizations curated by NOAA and NASA. Use the nearby kiosk to explore topics such as rainfall and ocean currents.
  • Planet Pen: Draw a curve on a kiosk and see a real photograph of Earth’s landforms and oceans taken from the International Space Station that match your shape.
  • Hyperwall: Explore data visualizations of our planet in near real-time, focusing on land, water, air, ice, and life. The content is regularly updated with the latest data from Earth-observing missions.
  • Sea of Tomorrow: Investigate potential future flooding scenarios due to sea level rise through engaging visualizations and learn about potential solutions and societal responses to these challenges.
  • Earth Pulse: Experience real-time data transmissions from NASA, NOAA, and USGS satellites to Earth, showcased in a mesmerizing dance of light. Each pulse corresponds with data being sent to Earth from over twenty Earth-observing missions.

The Gantry at LC-39 opens summer 2025 as an exciting new experience on the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Included with the standard admission ticket, it features outdoor play areas, historical artifacts, premier launch viewing, an immersive Earth Information Center, a simulated full-sized rocket engine static test fire, and a four-story gantry with interactive experiences – all just 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) from an active launch pad.
